More importantly, you must work on leg and back strengthening exercises as they will help you not only be flexible but also protect you from back and knee injuries. Strong Knees are very important for classical dancers as our body weight rests on them while we are dancing. If you are in east delhi, you may contact me for classes. read less

Hi Amrutha, Age is no barrier. If you put your heart and mind to it, the sky is your limit. There are 80 year olds who still dance with the same ease of a 20 year old. All the renowned dancers of bharatnatyam are in their 40s now. Go for it :)
