manually de-allocating memory using delete in C++ is much slower than a production garbage collection. Memory deallocation in a production tracing garbage collected system like Java is extremely efficient. Specifically, ~1MB of garbage objects are freed by resetting a single pointer. GC maintains the tree of pointer and free the memory which is not connected by any tree node.
