Clarence Public School

Having this school among top 25 destroys the credibility of the list. The principal didn't even have the guts to ask for donation, and showed us a paper with the amount written on it, and said, please pay by cash before 2PM tomorrow. Very unprofessional staff, poor infrastructure, and extortionary fee. Avoid!

My daughter and son both are studying in Clarence Public School. Quality of Education is best. Teachers are caring and are impartial. I feel its the best in JP Nagar neighborhood.

School is a important experience for your child. Children must be motivated to learn and not forced. CPS gives your child very basic learning for the most. They do not encourage them to think outside the box. Very dry method of learning. Also the staff and principles of the school is very ORTHODOX. If you want your child to go above and beyond this is not the place. CPS encourages your child to only memorize lines from the book. There is no motivation to arts or sports. In fact they do not even have a sports team. There is a lot of segregation between sexes. Your children may never learn to interact with the opposite sex well. They involve more than they should in a child's personal life. If you want your child to be able to be out spoken in the outside world, you will not get that here. If you want your child to only and only be a good student then this is the place. As far as staff, for most they are typical nothing great. There are one of two exceptional teachers, who encourage fun methods of studying.

As a parent,I am extremely sad to say that ,school was a huge disappointment for me. My son,who was basically reserved at the time he joined the school still remains that way after 6 years. Academically he is scoring good marks ONLY on the subjects which I teach him at home or when he attends a good tuition .On the previous week of the exam ,if I open his maths text book and give him any sums ,most of the times he wouldn't do any and then I have to start teaching him from scratch ..it adds a lot of pressure on me ,being a working mother and on the kid as well.It makes me wonder ,what the teacher is doing in the class?
why there is no individual attention? If I have to teach the kid at home each and everything why they are taking very high tuition fee that increases by 10% every year?
I forget and forgive all that and finally spoke to the teacher and requested her to give him a chance to involve in any functions in the school.. But even that was not happening due to teachers' partiality to one set of students !!

Since I studied in this school for ten years I feel I have the right amount of experience to right a review.

These days the infrastructure seems pretty good - looks like an IT company but in my days there were no doors or fans in my class and the only swimming pool was a pond with buffalos below the building,

Some of the faculty was really good but what struck me most was the impartiality and unprofessional behavior of some of the teachers. Only toppers were held in good esteem and the scope for extra curriculars was very less.

And as someone had rightly posted : talking to the opposite sex was something to be discouraged. I remember in my final year of school the principal made a rule that guys could not talk to girls(Unbelievable right)?

Basically an individual was not encouraged to develop as a person and the only focus was on getting decent grades. This seemed surprising as the princy was an alumni of Bishop cottons. «less

CPS is not a school they run an extortion racket, yearly they make millions thru black money in the name of donation, and there is no standard fee structure across standards

Whatever she agreed in the past, she never remember, she plainly ask for donation. Such kind of Principals are spoiling the respect associated with a teacher. «less

Air conditioners are for showoff.During monsoon time God only should protect the children in the basement.Mosquitoes will be there permanently as drainage runs there. There are no wash rooms in the basement.Only one washroom is there in the ground floor. So if the children need to use the washroom they need to run to the 1st floor. If i go on writing like this it will be an endless comment. So I request all parents who are thinking of sending their child to this school please avoid. «less

After checking all the schools which charge 1lakh for donation, I found "NARAYANA e-Techo schools" best. All the fees were below 55k and ofcourse they have good academic record in competitive exams.

Worst school. As kumar mentioned the fess they charged for the school they have(very small) is a crime. As kumar mentioned the fess they charged for the school they have(very small) is a crime. For me they asked the same as mentioned by kumar:
1.1 lakh Admission fess( cash within 2 days)
15k (i dont know for what)
60K anual fess.

They asked us to wait for 45mins and when our turn comes the principal didnt discuss or asked anything. Just gives the paper where the fess and mentioned and asked us to pay in 2 days.
The principle looks horrible. If they wonuld have told the fees earlier i wouldnt have wasted my time.
I correlate this with dowry. Even if we pay this much fess now they will ask more in future, so we ran away from that school. «less

The great Clarence is asking 110000 donation and that too in CASH!!! Every year seems they must be making close to 100 Crores black money just out of donations from new admission (40 kids per section * 7 sections only for pre-nursery, then more in all the classes). And not only this almost all schools in Bangalore are just hungry for Black Money.

I would to know if the admissions are available for Class 4th ICSE for the academic year 2014-15. Do you provide bus facility from Vasanthpura (Near Gokulam Apartments) on Kanakpura Road?
