There is no decided number of hours that you should be studying for class 10th or say for any standard. It depends on what kind of exam you are preparing for and with what mindset.
If you are very serious about getting 10 cgpa then I suggest apart from regular classes, 4-5 hours will also do. You can revise and do some self study in that much time.
It also depends on the student. Some can do well in half the amount of hours and some might need more hours of studying to get good results.
Nobody can tell you exactly how many hours you should study. It is you who decides the bar for yourself. If you have the capacity to study 10 hours then study ten hours but if you don't then study for as much hours you can.
In the end I think for 10th standard 4-6 hours of self study is enough actually.
