These days with increasing trends of other western dance and music styles, indian classical dance forms have lost their importance to a large extent. People consider Indian classical dance forms boring as they mostly involve different bol patterns and technical movements which are, these days not understood by people who don't come from a background of dance. Rather, they prefer to see and learn the western dance forms which are usually free from any technical movements or patterns. Western dance forms are danced on the songs well known by many youngsters these days. So, these dances interest the youngsters. Moreover, there are unending technicalities in indian classical dance forms due to which people find it difficult to learn. I hope i cleared your doubt.
