It's a general-purpose programming language and can be used for nearly any sort of programming task. However, "can" and "should" are different things. Especially since Python tends to be used as an interpreted scripting language (and it uses dynamically typed garbage collection), it's not too suitable for a fast executing, extremely resource frugal embedded system.
