First of all my wishes for your decision!
The field you have chosen has a huge potential for growth in future. ACET exam is an entrance for students who want to pursue their career in actuarial science. The decision you took is excellent because you have to clear a series of 15 tests after clearing the ACET entrance and becoming a part of it. You hardly need around five years to complete the series. So I say it's a good idea to write an ACET exam if you have a determination to pursue actuarial science.
