Overview

K.V. D. I.A.T. Girinagar was established during 1987 under Defense Sector, Govt. of India, and since then we are taking longer strides on the path of progress. Situated in scenic and sylvan surroundings of the prestigious Defense Institute Of Advanced Technology(DIAT Deemed University) and add new dimensions. A well tended and groomed campus, abundant in greenery and varied hued flowers and orchards. The Vidyalaya edifices projects a magnificent view with the affluent flowing waters of the Khadakwasla lake on one side and the fortifying fortress of Sinhagad. This is a 2 section school up to Class X and single section in classes XI (Science and Commerce) and XII. The Vidyalaya has shifted to the new building which is very spacious and is abundant in all the essential infra-structure and requisite amenities.

Admission Details:

Eligible age for Admission
A child must be at least five years old on 30th of September in the academic year in which admission is being sought for admission to class I .For subsequent classes, the eligible age would be reckoned again with reference to 30th September with the proportionate increase over 5 years.

Procedure for Admission

•Registration form, complete in all respects and accompanied by all required documents must be submitted to the Vidyalaya office within the prescribed date.
•Attested copies of the following documents would be required to be submitted along with the application form for registration.
?For class I, certificate of proof of age in the form of a Birth Certificate issued by the authority competent to register births. This will include Notified Area Committees like Municipal Corporation, extract about the date of birth from records of village Panchayat. Military Hospital or service records of Defence Personnel. For later classes, the date of birth recorded in the transfer certificate issued by a school recognized by the state Education Department would be accepted.
?A certificate that the child belongs to the SC/ST wherever applicable issued by the competent authority. A certificate in respect of either parent may be accepted initially for the purpose of admission if this certificate is not available for the child.
