XAT 2019: Eligibility, Pattern and Important Dates

XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is an all-India level aptitude test conducted by XLRI on behalf of the XAMI, to select suitable candidates for XLRI management programs and other reputed institutes including Goa Institute of Management and Xavier Institute of Management. XAT score is also used by 150+ management schools in India. XLRI has been conducting XAT exam for more than 60 years now.

Eligibility for XAT 2019

a) A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years duration or equivalent) in any discipline. Candidates who are likely to complete their final degree exam by June 2019 are also eligible to apply.

b) NRI and Foreign candidates may apply with GMAT scores, as there is no provision for them to sit for the exam. However, candidates who are in Dubai and Nepal can appear for the XAT 2019 exam, as they have an option to write the exam.

XAT 2019 exam pattern

XAT 2019 is a computer-based MBA entrance exam. The test is for about 108 minutes.

The test will have questions on the following components:

• Quantitative Ability

• English Language & Logical Reasoning

• Decision Making

• GK

There are two parts in XAT exam -- Part I consists of 74 questions in the following three sections: Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making and Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation.

Paper II, consists of 25 questions in General knowledge.
