I am a Pondicherry-based recorder player. My interest in European music, particularly of the Baroque period, was inspired by meeting the French harpsichordist Anne-Marie Paillard in 1997. She trained me at the Volontariat, a social service centre in Pondicherry, I took my first musical examination 2004. In 2008 I took 8th grade with Merit. In 2004, again with the support of Anne-Marie Paillard, my friends and I formed the Pondicherry Flute Quartet. Each member of the group plays bass, tenor, treble, descant and sopranino instruments, and together they have performed several concerts of Baroque, Classical and Modern music in Pondicherry, Auroville, Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi.
