Sishya School

Hi,
We registered for my kid in the year 2009 (it was said confirmed seat - while registering), admission for the AY year 2014
admission started last month Nov'13
we booked online appointment and met the management on 27th Nov'13
they told us admissions are closed & suggested to check again in the month of Jan'14
also told us to try in some other schools
they disappointet us, it was our four dream got shuttered on 27th Nov'13

Sishya School

Sishya is a haven for all the celebrities in the area to whom obviously they can't refuse admissions. And on top of it, its a Christian minority institution so obviously they give priority to people of Christian faith. I have seen parents standing with all kinds of reference letters and influential people escorting them to the interviews. All the talk about transparency and fairness in the admission process is just a smokescreen. Maybe 25% of their seats go to general public.

A totally absurd admission process; You book a totally blank appointment on their website (http://www.sishya-admission.com/). In this url, there is no question asked on which class the admissions are sought for. Just select your/available time slot for their Wednesday. " Where is your residence sir/madam?" - If your residence is near, you get this statement and free advice "Admissions are full. Registrations happen 3 years in advance. I strongly advice you to find another good school.- Thank you"
If you state that your residence is in a far away location you instantly get this advice "Please try to get admissions in a good school in your locality itself. Admissions are full here"

There is so much of hype created by this blank online appointment process. Why cant they have another filter on their very same website, wherein parents can select which class they are seeking admissions for and they can instantly mention if the admissions are available or not. Parents take special permissions or take off from work to visit them with lots of hope. Just to hear the gentleman give you his free advice.

He sure is right. Sishya is not the only good school in Chennai. I am sure there are lots more better than Sishya and better managed.
