2000 : Computer Education
In keeping with modern technology, computer education was introduced in 1989 on a small scale. The world is making swift progress and giant strides in Information Technology, so it was essential to set up a full-fledged Computer Laboratory.
The new Laboratory was inaugurated on 21st June 2000. Today St. Joseph’s Computer Laboratory has 43 Computers with fully upgraded systems with latest technology. Students from Std I to Std X are trained in Computer Education.

2000 : New School Ground
They say, as you conquer one peak, another looms ahead. Miss Bertha Pereira having conquered many peaks could clearly read on the distant one “A healthy mind in a healthy body.” Much had been done for the healthy mind, but the need for a playground had been haunting Miss Bertha Pereira for many years. In true adherence to her indomitable spirit, her plans began to take shape.
After much negotiation and innumerable hurdles, the ground opposite Orlem Church was acquired. The price was unaffordable but Lady Brave Heart plunged into the deal taking the whole financial burden on herself. The School ground was officially inaugurated by Miss Bertha Pereira on 8th April 2000.
Today the school stands – a full fledged educational institution of repute and prestige where excellence in education is the key word. It is a fitting tribute to the pioneering spirit, the vision and courage, the unflagging will and the inspiring leadership of one lady, Miss Bertha Pereira……..we salute you.
