Very Unlikely if you are referring to the pattern of the paper. Plus its run by the bureaucracy which usually doesn't like to change much.

If I have applied for CS then how I would become an IPS....I separately applied for it..or merit wise I got the department?
There is no separate application for each cadre.In one application itself(mains application form) you have to specify the cadres.after that based upon your rank after the interview you will be given the posting .
