Documents Required on UPSC Interview Day

As an experienced tutor registered on UrbanPro.com specializing in UPSC Exams Coaching, I understand the significance of proper documentation during the interview stage. Here's a comprehensive list of documents candidates need to carry on the interview day:

1. Admit Card:

  • Ensure you have the printed copy of your UPSC Exam Admit Card.
  • Cross-verify the details on the admit card with your official documents.

2. Photo ID Proof:

  • Carry a valid photo identification proof, such as Aadhar card, passport, voter ID, or driver's license.
  • The ID should be original and not expired.

3. Educational Certificates:

  • Original certificates and mark sheets of educational qualifications mentioned in the application form.
  • Carry both the original and photocopies.

4. Caste/Category Certificate:

  • If applicable, bring the original caste/category certificate for verification.
  • Ensure it is issued by the competent authority within the stipulated time.

5. Date of Birth Certificate:

  • Original certificate proving your date of birth (like 10th class certificate).
  • Carry both original and photocopies.

6. Domicile Certificate:

  • If claiming reservation based on domicile, carry the original domicile certificate.

7. Employment Certificate:

  • If employed, carry a 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) from the employer.

8. Affidavit for Discrepancies:

  • In case of any discrepancies in documents, bring an affidavit explaining and clarifying the issues.

9. Passport-sized Photographs:

  • Carry a few recent passport-sized photographs.
  • These may be needed for any additional forms or for affixing to documents.

10. Photo Copying Facility:

  • Some centers may not have photocopying facilities. Bring a few extra photocopies of all documents.

11. PwD Certificate:

  • If claiming reservation under Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category, bring the original PwD certificate.

12. EWS Certificate:

  • If applying under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category, carry the original EWS certificate.

Note: Always double-check the official UPSC notification and guidelines for any specific or updated document requirements.

By ensuring you have all the necessary documents in order, you'll contribute to a smooth and hassle-free experience on the UPSC interview day.

Many options if you wish for a govt job. Also try for other exams conducted by UPSC such as CAPF, ICAR etc. Try for CGL by SSC and thirdly many vacancies are in banking and insurance sector through IBPS and other organisations
